Bugatti Veyron
First on this list is perhaps one of the most popular ones: the Bugatti Veyron. This car is not only one of the fastest cars in the world, but it's also one of the most expensive ones. You can get one for yourself at the price of 1.9 million dollars!
The Bugatti Veyron is a mid-engine, all-wheel-drive sports car produced by the Volkswagen Group in Germany. The vehicle comes in two body types: 2-door coupé and a 2-door targa top version.
The engine on this car is an 8.0-litre quad-turbocharged W16 engine. That engine has an insane output of 736 kW of power and 1,250 Nm of torque!
Not only does it perform well, but it also looks great. That's why this car has appeared in countless TV shows, movies, and even rap videos!
Lamborghini Veneno Roadster
Lamborghini is a name that undoubtedly belongs on this list in one form or the other. In this case, we're looking at the Veneno Roadster. The original Veneno was built to celebrate Lamborghini's 50th anniversary. After a while, Lamborghini came out with the roadster variant.
This Veneno Roadster costs much more than the last car we looked at, with a whopping price tag of 4.5 million dollars! But what justifies that price?
The car carries a version of the Aventador's 6.5-litre V12 engine. With enlarged air intakes and a modified exhaust system, the engine in the Veneno Roadster achieves a maximum output of 552 kW of power and 690 Nm of torque!
Unlike the original Veneno, the roadster version is 50 kilograms heavier as a result of the chassis reinforcing components put into it.
Lykan Hypersport
The Lykan Hypersport is the first sports car to be designed and manufactured in the Middle East. This fantastic car is the result of the collaboration between Lebanese and Italian engineers at W Motors, a company based in the United Arab Emirates. It's said that only seven units of this car were ever made. You can see one of them crashing through three skyscrapers in the movie Furious 7 from the Fast & Furious franchise.
At 3.4 million dollars, this car has jewel-encrusted headlights, scissor doors, and generally quite tough-looking for a sports car. The vehicle has a 3.7-litre twin-turbocharged flat-six engine by Ruf Automobile. The engine has a supposed maximum output of 582 kW of power and 960 Nm of torque.
Ferrari Sergio
Ferrari is another household name that belongs on this list. The Italian designers at Pininfarina designed this particular Ferrari. It was made as a tribute to the former chairman of Pininfarina and automobile designer, the late Sergio Pininfarina.
The Ferrari Sergio is a concept car in a 2-door barchetta body style, with only six units ever built. These units were sold to select buyers only to the tune of 3 million dollars.
Inside, this Prancing Horse has a 4.5-litre Ferrari F136 F V8 engine in its rear, paired with a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission. All this equipment kicks the Ferrari to produce a maximum output of 445 kW of power and 540 Nm of torque.
Aston Martin One-77
The Aston Martin is a recognised name to many thanks to the James Bond movie franchise. Here, we're looking at the Aston Martin One-77. The '77' in its name refers to the number of units built, each selling for about 1.4 million dollars.
The One-77 is a two-door coupé with a front-engine/rear-wheel-drive configuration. It's got a 7.3-litre AM Cosworth V12 engine paired with a 6-speed automated manual. Altogether, the car produces a maximum output of 559 kW of power and 750 Nm of torque.
Interesting fact: technically, there are only 76 units of this car still in existence. Somewhere in May of 2012, one of the vehicles was involved in a horrible accident in Hong Kong and couldn't be restored.
LaFerrari
Care to guess who produces the LaFerrari? As the name suggests, this car is part of the Ferrari family. Technically, it's known as the F150. It's a hybrid sports car built in Italy with a mid-mounted 12-cylinder engine. It comes in two body styles: either a 2-door coupé with butterfly doors or a 2-door roadster with swan doors.
Inside, the car has a 6.3-litre F140FE V12 engine and an electric motor. This includes a KERS or a 'kinetic energy recovery system' that recovers energy and recharges the battery whenever the brake is applied. All of this is combined with a 7-speed dual-clutch automated manual transmission.
The vehicle generates a maximum output of 708 kW of power and 700 Nm of torque.
Hennessey Venom GT
Before you get excited thinking that this car has anything to do with the alcoholic party beverage, hold up for a minute! This car gets its name from Hennessey Performance Engineering, a company based in Texas of the United States. Aesthetically, the car itself is based on the Lotus Elise or Exige.
This sports car comes either in a 2-door coupe or 2-door roadster (Spyder) version. It's got a twin-turbocharged GM LS7 V8 engine paired with a 6-speed Ricardo manual transmission. In total, this car has a crazy maximum output of 1,082 kW of power and 1,745 Nm of torque!
Only 13 units of this car were ever produced, specifically 7 coupe versions and 6 Spyder versions of it. It was in production between 2011 and 2017 when the Hennessey Venom F5 then replaced it.
