The Mazda BT-50 is a midsized pickup truck that was initially manufactured in japan. But now, production does not take place in Japan and is not available for the Japanese market. The three countries that build the BT-50 are Columbia, South Africa, and Thailand.
The First-Generation BT-50 was sold as the Ford Ranger and Ford Everest SUV. But now, the Australian-made second-generation Ford Ranger is being sold as Mazda BT-50. It was released as a two-door single cab, two-door extended cad, a four-door double cab and the five-door wagon (which was discontinued when the second Generation was launched).

It was re-designed in 2008 with some minor changes including optional interior items made standard.

Both the rare and all-wheel drives came with a five-speed automatic transmission, but only the all-wheel-drive came with the Active-Shift-on-the-Fly.
It received a facelift in 2009 which saw the introduction of turbodiesel engines. The 2.5 liter produces 141hp, and the 3.0 liter produces 154hp. There is also an East African model with a 2.5 turbodiesel engine with just 106hp.
The 2014 Ford Everest was launched at the Manila International Auto show in 2013. Some of the improvements include a touch-sensitive SATNAV entertainment system and a reverse parking camera. It came with either an automatic or manual transmission. The manual variant came with a five-speed manual transmission pared to a Duratorq TDCi, 2.5-liter engine.
Second Generation (UP, UR. 2011-present)
The new Model Mazda BT-50 that was based on the Ford Ranger was unveiled in the Australian Motor Show in 2010 October. The Mazda design team and Ford worked independently even though the Mazda team was based in Ford Melbourne design center.
Apart from the visible body alterations, the second Generation also came with engine changes. You can opt for either an MZ-CD 2.0-liter inline-four or a 3.2-liter inline-five Duratorq TDCi diesel engine paired with a six-speed manual or automatic transmission.
The facelift of the 2011 model was launched in the Australian market in 2015. There were minor changes made, including some equipment improvement and the price also changed but no changes were made to the engine. The most recent BT-50 2018 model has since been launched in Australia. The car comes with Apple CarPlay and also caters for android users with the Android Auto support system.
