Best Cars Deals During the Lockdowns!

With lockdowns in place, we're learning the hard way that our private cars will have nowhere to go. On the other hand, when you do need to get out to do important trips, like buy food and medicines, a private vehicle becomes really essential.

You'd be surprised to know that even with all the uncertainty around, there are still great car deals to be found! With the way things are in the industry, these deals are a much bigger win for car buyers.

Considering that you would want to avoid public transports, having your own ride allows you to safely observe social distancing.

Lockdowns and restrictions will have to be lifted at some point, and when that happens, people will start to need their mobility again to go back to work and their usual business.

With social distancing being the new norm, it seems like people will be less inclined to pack themselves into crowded public transportation. So who knows; maybe this will drive up demand for personal vehicles even more!

Whatever the case may be, the fact is that right now there's a lot of 'doom and gloom' in the automotive industry. Yet, there are silver linings to look out for, like finding some of the best car deals before the demand goes up!

5 Irresistible Car Deals

Let’s check out just a few of the deals out there right now!

#1. Jeep Compass

The first car on this list is the Jeep Compass, the smallest vehicle in the Jeep lineup. Most of its versions are on discount, particularly for Compasses made in 2018. Since the Jeep Compass hasn't changed much, the model year is not such a big deal.

Right now, the Jeep Compass Sport (which is the base model) is priced 12% lower than before at $28,950. That's $4,075 in savings! This model is a front-wheel-drive with a six-speed manual transmission and a 2.4-litre engine. It's got a maximum output of 129 kW of power and 229 Nm of torque.

#2. Kia Stinger

Then check out the Kia Stinger. This compact executive is a 4-door fastback made by South Korean carmaker Kia Motors. The car was first available back in 2017 and has recently found its way back into the limelight with the significant reductions in its prices.

The base model 200S is now $2410 cheaper with a new price tag of $50,690. This rear-wheel-drive version has a maximum output of 182 kW of power and 353 Nm of torque and comes with an eight-speed automatic transmission.

Even the better variants of the Stinger are now available with significant discounts. On the higher end, there's The Stinger GT variant is $64,190 ($3,485 cheaper than before). If you're looking for something between these two price points, there is also the Stinger 330S priced at $53,690 ($2,696 less expensive than before).

As with other models in the family, this one comes with Kia's famous seven-year warranty.

#3. Alfa Romeo Stelvio

Alfa Romeo has also been adding some significant price cuts to its lineup, particularly the Stelvio SUV. Some of the Stelvio variants are getting up to $8,000 in reductions. On top of that, Alfa Romeo is also throwing in the $5,000 Veloce Pack for free! Right now, the 2.0-litre turbo petrol Stelvio is priced at $66,900, that’s $6,837 below the usual price.

The 2.0-litre model has a maximum output of 148 kW of power and 330 Nm of torque. Add to that the earlier-mentioned Veloce Pack and you get an even more impressive vehicle. The pack includes leather sports seats with heating for the front seats, a heated steering wheel, and 19-inch dark alloy wheels among many other remarkable features.

4. Nissan Juke

The Nissan Juke's also on this list. This five-door baby SUV (meaning it's a subcompact crossover SUV) performs deceptively well, contrary to what some say. Seeing as how there's a newer model on the way, Nissan is offering up the current one with some impressive discounts.

The base model of the Nissan Juke is the ST manual variant, which is the front-wheel-drive that's currently going for $23,490, which is $3,943 cheaper than before. It's got a 1.2-litre turbo-petrol engine paired with a six-speed manual gearbox. Performance-wise, the ST manual variant has a maximum output of 85 kW of power and 190 Nm of torque.

#5. Suzuki Baleno

Last but not least, we have Suzuki's small car, the 5-door Baleno. The Suzuki Baleno was introduced in 2016 as a replacement to the Suzuki SX4.

The base model is the Suzuki Baleno GL, which is currently priced at $15,990, making it $3,524 cheaper than it used to be. This car has a front-engine, front-wheel-drive configuration and carries a 1.4-litre engine paired with a five-speed manual transmission. It performs with a maximum output of 68 kW of power and 130 Nm of torque.

Is This a Good Time to Buy a Car?

There's no doubt that attractive car deals are flooding the market right now. The industry is doing its best to keep customers interested in huge discounts and valuable add-ons. But is this really a good time to buy a car? There are several things to consider.

If all of the considerations turn out to be in your favour, then now would be an excellent time to go car shopping. With the pandemic and its effects on the automotive industry as a whole, it's a buyer's market right now. That means that you have the power to get the most value out of every dollar you spend.
