“It is with extremely heavy hearts that we have made the decision to close our doors effective immediately until further notice. We have not taken this decision lightly, but in light of the current circumstances, with the pandemic of Covid-19, the safety of our staff and our customers is far too important to place at risk.
In almost 30 years of operation we have gone through many trials however nothing could have ever prepared us for the unprecedented effects of the Corona Virus. New Model Wreckers has gone through 2 generations and in that time has never closed their doors, not even for a day.
We would like to take this opportunity to thank all our customers for their continued support over the past 3 decades and after all this blows over we WILL be back! Stronger than ever with all our amazing staff you have gotten to know and work with.
From our staff and management we would just like to say, stay safe in this turbulent time. Reach out to the vulnerable and lets all band together. Let’s remember the good old Aussie way of helping one another, as we have always done in the face of many a tragedy. Let’s all be responsible in the way we conduct ourselves through these tough times and let’s get through this like we do everything else!”
For most car owners who had been loyal customers of New Model Wreckers, this is sad news. We understand that, though many customers have been affected and others inconvenienced, it was a necessary action for the greater good. All we can do now is stay safe and work towards containing the pandemic.
