The Peugeot 4007 is a compact SUV manufactured by the French automaker from 2007 to 2012. It was first revealed at the Geneva Motor Show in March of 2007 as a 5-door wagon. Based on the Mitsubishi GS platform, it is designed with a front-engine, front-wheel-drive or four-wheel-drive layout. It is assembled in Okazi, Japan, Kaluga, Russia, and Born, Netherlands.
It sold poorly through the years, with the highest number of units sold worldwide being 13,700 in the year 2008, while the other years didn't break five figures. The total production number is 49,000 units, with nearly all of them sold.
It entered the Australian market from 2009 to 2014 and was available in two trim levels, namely, ST and SV. Both trims were offered in five and seven seats. Globally, it was available in SE, Sport XS, and GT trim levels.
The ST trim level came with either five or seven seats and included the following equipment:

The SV trim level came with seven seats as standard and added 18-inch alloy wheels, heated front seats, leather upholstery, driver's power front seat, and Xenon headlights.
Both trim levels come with the 2.2L Inline-Four, turbocharged common-rail direct injection diesel engine producing 115kW and 380 Nm of torque paired with a 6-speed automatic transmission or a 6-speed manual gearbox.
From 2009 to 2012, the Peugeot 4007 was consecutively rated with 5 stars for Driver Protection in the Used Car Safety Rating.
Peugeot 4007's standard safety equipment featured ESC, driver's frontal/passenger's frontal/front/rear-side curtain airbags, car safety feature-traction control, adjustable steering column, and seatbelt with pretensioner (driver and passenger).
Its tenure ended in 2012 and was succeeded by Peugeot 4008 and 3008.
